KentuckianaWorks offers a wide variety of resources for employers in the Louisville region. Whether you are looking to find new workers, build partnerships within your industry, or get support in developing a more inclusive organization, we can help.

We can connect you to qualified job seekers in a variety of ways:

  • Support for in-person hiring events at our local career centers.

  • Interview certified graduates of our training programs, which include software development, construction, customer service, and more. See our training programs.

  • Promote your open positions in our Job Seeker Update e-newsletter, which goes to thousands of local workers and partners weekly.

  • Hire ages 16+ through our summer jobs program (SummerWorks) and young adult opportunity campus (The Spot).

Today, Kentuckiana Builds graduates make up about 20% of our workforce in the Louisville region.
— Michael Ferguson, Messer Construction

We’ve had interns as young as sixteen and seventeen who have come in and made an impact in our company.
— Dr. Angelique Johnson, MEMStim

We’re focused on developing an engaged workforce that meets the needs of employers (it’s literally our Vision Statement). But strong engagement simply doesn’t happen without high quality jobs. That’s why in recent years we have been committing more resources toward helping employers design and improve roles that allow all of their workers to thrive.

Our job quality initiatives help employers address challenges with employee turnover, performance, burnout, and more.

We’ll connect you to tools and experts that offer job design guidance on:

  • Sustainable pay and benefits

  • Training and support

  • Advancement pathways

  • An empowering environment for people of color and members of other marginalized groups

Workforce challenges impact both employers and workers, and we believe that quality jobs improve outcomes for businesses and frontline workers - not to mention the community as a whole. KentuckianaWorks is seeking to engage with employers who are interested in developing hiring and training practices that promote employee engagement and retention.

KentuckianaWorks brings together companies from major local industry sectors - including construction, manufacturing, healthcare, and others - in order to work together to help solve shared challenges.

Benefits of joining include:

  • A venue to voice industry-wide concerns and collaborate on solutions

  • Opportunities to provide industry leadership and identify promising practices

  • Networking with other companies and leaders in your industry sector

The partnership between KentuckianaWorks and the Healthcare Careers Collaborative of Greater Louisville is unique and an invaluable resource that brings together all of the stakeholders in one place to help address the challenges we face in healthcare.”
— Steven G. Rudolf, Baptist Healthcare

Recently, this industry partnership group helped launch a community-wide system for scheduling and managing clinical appointments that resulted in reduced costs for students, educational partners, and the employers involved.
